Date: 16 May 2017
The Cass has been named as second in London, and sixth in the UK, for student satisfaction in this year’s Complete University Guide league tables for Art and Design.
This year also saw Art and Design climb 24 places in the table overall, and place fifth in London for graduate prospects.
Andy Stone, Head of The Cass, said: “Having Art and Design ranked second in London for student satisfaction by The Complete University Guide is fantastic. It is something everyone at The Cass can be proud of and I’m delighted that students have recognised our efforts.
“This achievement is a result of the hard work and dedication of all staff in the School. The close relationship between studio and practice, the support and care of staff and the energy and ambition of our students are all key to this and drives The Cass’ success.
“This enables students to develop the knowledge and skills they need for their futures, their professionalism and their commitment to their field. And as we look forward to the Summer Show and the celebration of this year’s students’ work we know there is more to come.”
In 2016, The Cass was awarded its highest ever student satisfaction score in the National Student Survey (NSS), in which over 88% of students who completed the survey said they were satisfied with their experience whilst studying. The Cass also received a record score for graduate employment last year, with 96% of graduates in work or further study six months after graduation (DLHE 2015).
The Complete University Guide has been publishing university and related league tables online since 2007 and the tables are compiled by Mayfield University Consultants.
