As the University embarks on an ambitious set of priorities to address student success in an increasingly complex world for our staff and students, the 21st Learning and Teaching Conference 2024 brought together the university community to exchange practice in person.
The topics covered during the conference:
Climate Crisis: Education for Sustainable Development across the Curriculum and Beyond. The climate crisis continues to be a challenge for society. How are staff and students addressing climate in the curriculum and beyond? How do Climate Justice and Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) intersect with Social Justice? .‘What goes up’ – space sustainability and regulation.
Artificial Ingredients: Implications and Opportunities for using AI in Learning, Teaching and Assessment. Artificial Intelligence is a current topic of interest, how are staff and students discussing and preparing for the risks and opportunities to improve learning, teaching and assessment?
Student Journeys and Destinations: Collaboratively working with all supporters of learning and teaching to support successful student outcomes. The journey for our students from pre-induction to graduation and beyond, how are all supporters of learning and teaching supporting the student journey in and out of the classroom to achieve student success?
Learning and Teaching Home and Away: International Students and Collaborative Partnerships. Our students come from across the world, studying with us in London or in our collaborative partnerships. How are staff across the University and our collaborative partners supporting this important area, working with students as partners?
