Christmas internships
Christmas is just around the corner, and as much as we like to lay on the sofa with minced pies and chocolate around us, it's also a great time to focus on gaining some experience while doing a short work placement. Here's a collection of some of the places to find internships in the UK.
Indeed is probably the most famous and obvious place to look for jobs and internships. If you have the patience to go through all the pages, you can be sure that there is no way you have missed a job opportunity available at the moment.
If you are studying Media, Journalism or PR, Gorkanajobs is one of the best places to be looking at. The website has been created especially for people working in those departments. On it, you can also find recruiters and career news and advice.
E4s is a great website that offers a lot of opportunities, from holiday work to apprenticeships. They also have offers for recent graduates and a lot of help and advice for every step of the way.
With loads of helpful tips, online tools, interesting features, advice and work-placement opportunities, Gothinkbig is a must for every student. You can subscribe to their weekly newsletter to be sure not to miss anything.
Studentjob was first launched in the Netherlands and was brought over to the UK back in 2010. Since then it has grown over to France, Spain, Germany, Belgium and Austria. So, if you are thinking of relocating after finishing your studies, this will be the place to look.
Mediargh is another website focused only on people looking for work in media and journalism. It doesn’t give much freedom when it comes to filtering your search but it is not a well-known site, which means less competition.
The Student Ladder website is great for guidance and information. It offers information on over 2,500 work placements, graduate schemes and internship opportunities, and application advice on CVs, interviews, online tests and assessment centres. Great little helper throughout your student years.
