Teachers have the chance to inspire the leaders, innovators and creators of tomorrow. If that sounds like the job for you, London Met is the perfect place to kick-start your career.
During your course, you’ll develop an understanding of the unique challenges that teachers face in urban environments. We'll arrange outstanding opportunities to teach in our local communities, and we’ll actively support your progress throughout your placement. Becoming a qualified teacher really couldn't be easier!
All of our teacher training courses offer QTS with PGCE.
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status): Through practical study on extensive school placements and in university, you’ll gain all the knowledge and skills necessary to become a qualified teacher.
PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education): Interlinked with practical study, you’ll work towards the master’s level PGCE qualification. This will give you the skills and understanding required to become a critically aware, reflective practitioner, who’s able to identify and employ the most appropriate evidence-based approaches to the challenges that you’ll face in school.
