Cass Fine Art alumnus exhibits solo show at the Ply Gallery, Hornsey.
Samuel Eyles, who graduated from Fine Art BA at The Cass in 2016, will be exhibiting a solo exhibition of recent work at the Ply Gallery, Hornsey Town Hall Art Centre from 6 to 11 July.
The exhibition, titled 'Behind Closed Doors', features paintings on canvas and works on paper. The show consists of a series of audacious and often claustrophobic narratives based on life events that explore both humour and tension.
Deriving from varied starting points, each piece has it’s own dialogue but all follow a very particular tone. By exposing these privately encapsulated moments to the viewer, Eyles aims to uncover the raw emotional states of his subjects and invites us to reflect on our own anxieties and desires.
Samuel's work has been featured in the Guardian and he has shown in selected group shows across London.
'Behind Closed Doors' is on at the Ply Gallery, Hornsey Town Hall Arts Centre from 6 to 11 July 2017.
