Our Tourism and Travel Management BA students were visited by a team of recruiters and training associates from Booking.com.

With employability of our students in mind, Dr Ela Rogers invited Susan Stather and Werner Baron to offer an insight into e-customer relations management and customer profiling practices. Students enrolled on the e-tourism module had an excellent opportunity to discuss practical aspects of building company's online reputation and ask questions related to working environment and operations of an e-tourism specialist.

Discussions flowed from both sides to learn from interesting case studies, including student's own experiences when using the booking.com services and company’s procedures of dealing with customer complaints.

Susan Stather a recruiter from the company’s London office said "We feel that connecting with local universities will be a positive link for students and also ourselves! As many of our entry-level roles are suitable for graduates."

Meeting with a professional in the industry gave London Met students the chance to research opportunities and build experience in a sector they have an interest working in. Various opportunities of such sessions are available to tourism students throughout their degree.
