Date: 10/05/2016
London Met lecturer Samuel Idowu has been recognised by the Reference and User Services Association (RUSA) for producing an Outstanding Business Reference Source, having been awarded the accolade for this recent work on Dictionary of Corporate Social Responsibility: CSR, Sustainability, Ethics and Governance.
The publication was one of of a few texts that were recognised as outstanding at the RUSA's Book and Media Awards Ceremony at the American Library Association’s Midwinter Meeting.
Idowu, who is a senior lecturer in accounting at the School of Business, worked as Editor-in-Chief on the work alongside co-editors Nicholas Capaldi, Matthias S Fifka, Liangrong Zu and René Schmidpeter.
In order to qualify for the award, the reference work had to be compiled specifically to supply information on a certain subject or group of subjects in a form that would facilitate its ease of use. Samuel and his colleagues' work stood out for its content, quality and utility.
The Guildhall School of Business and Law would like to congratulate Sam and his colleagues on this amazing achievement.
