Before we let our students go off on their summer holidays, students on the BA (Hons) Fashion Marketing and Business Management were visited by Olly Chubb, client services director and Sam Shaw, head of insights, both part of leading behavioural insights practice Canvas8.
Olly and Sam gave an amazingly entertaining and informative talk focusing on the latest consumer trends and behaviours including various case examples from the world of fashion, innovation and creativity.
The presentation also covered the emerging trends within communications and contextual communications, how brand communication has become more personal and how brands are finding a good way to use technology. The guest speakers also explained how the science of cuteness elicits positive consumer response and how in the next couple of years, social consumer robots will experiment with cuteness as a paradigm for interaction.
