Portrait by Cass Fine Art graduate shortlisted in British Journal of Photography competition to capture the face of a changing nation.

A portrait by 2018 Cass BA Fine Art graduate Alvaro Lopez Gimenez has been shortlisted for British Journal of Photography Portrait of Britain 2018 award.
The portrait, titled 'Luka' will feature in the first ever Portrait of Britain book, featuring all 200 shortlisted images with an introduction by Will Self and which is now available to pre-order.
This year's competition competiton has been judged by key industry leaders Caroline Hunter, Picture Editor of The Guardian Weekend Magazine; Olivia Arthur, Magnum Photographer; Martin Usborne, Co-Founder of Hoxton Mini Press; and Simon Bainbridge, Editorial Director at British Journal of Photography. 100 final winners will be annouunced on the 30th August. The winning photographs will be seen by millions of people when The Portrait of Britain exhibition opens on 1 September 2018 on JCDecaux screens nationwide. On the 6th September, there will be a Press Book launch party in London for shortlisted & winning photographers and their guests.
