London Metropolitan University has a successful partnership with CESINE University in Santander Spain who deliver three of the University’s undergraduate degrees: International Business Management BSc, Advertising Marketing Communications and Public Relations BA from the Guildhall School of Business and Law (GSBL), and Journalism BA from the School of Computing and Digital Media.
The partnership is growing in strength and both CESINE and London Met are developing a strong reputation throughout Spain for its innovative courses which enable students to enhance their employability in a country where youth unemployment can be as high as 56%.
At a recent International Social Advertising Festival, Publifestival 2017, in Barcelona. CESINE and London Met’s Advertising Marketing Communications and Public Relations BA students were recognized for being, for the third consecutive year, the most awarded university at this international competition.
A special prize called ‘Luis Bassat,’ was awarded to Alberto Rubio, a student of CESINE, for his outstanding talent.
Students had to present audio-visual pieces that have addressed various social problems such as gender violence, bullying, children's suffering in wars or alcoholism.
CESINE promotes among its students values of commitment to society and solidarity so that, through their talent and creativity, they contribute their part in solving these problems.
Dr Wendy Bloisi, Head of Academic Partnership in GSBL, said: “We are delighted that CESINE have received so many awards. This is proving to be a good quality partnership which is enhancing the student’s ability to find graduate employment.”
