London Met listed as finalist in the London Venue Awards

London Metropolitan’s catering team was nominated in the Covid-19 Bounceback category.

The estates team at London Metropolitan have been recognised for their immense work in returning the venue and catering options to a high standard after the disruption caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The London Met team have been listed in the 'Best Covid-19 Bounceback' category at the London Venue & Catering Awards, alongside other famous and internationally recognised venues as the ExCel Centre and the QEII Centre.

Early on in the pandemic the estates team had to entirely shutdown London Met as a venue, including all for-hire events and university affairs. Since the easing of lockdown restrictions, the hustle and bustle of events have returned, including 

All of the nominees were judged independently by an esteemed panel who possess a wealth of knowledge and experience between them in either the management of venues or the organisation of business to business events at venues.

Amongst the many prestigious judges on the panel includes the head of business events at the Barbican, Jackie Boughton, general manager of the Ritz Hotel, Sal Gowili, and executive head chef to the Archbishop of Canterbury, Rob Gathercole.

The awards will be announced on 11 November 2022 at the famous Kia Oval, home of Surrey County Cricket Club.
