Chloe Batten (she/her) is the Academic Communities Coordinator at London Met. Chloe brings years of experience advocating with marginalised communities for more accessible, equitable and inclusive education to the London Met community. Her work includes enhancing our support offering for students transitioning into the University, driving our decolonising and academic integrity work and helping to build academic communities that place equity, social justice and liberation at their core.
Before London Met, Chloe led programmes to improve access, participation and success in higher education, dismantling institutional barriers and empowering students. She collaborated with marginalised students to deliver targeted transition initiatives, such as summer schools, peer mentoring, skills conferences and resources. With a background in championing student voices as the Deputy President and Education Officer at her student union, Chloe enjoys partnering with, and being led by students. She brings her experience developing and facilitating programmes for LGBTQ+ young campaigners and anti-racist community organising at other organisations to her work with academic communities at London Met.
Chloe is an alumnus of the University of Warwick, with a BA in English literature.
