Iris Magne

Iris is a Research Assistant at the School of Human Sciences.

Iris is the Research Assistant for the International Biological Security Education Network (IBSEN). She is also a doctoral student at King's Russia Institute, King's College London where she researches authoritarian vaccine diplomacy. Her research is interdisciplinary and covers both life sciences and social sciences. She is also involved in research projects with Columbia University, New York and the University of Helsinki.
 
Iris holds a Bachelor in History and International Relations from King's College London and a MSc in International Relations by the London School of Economics and International Relations (LSE).

Iris is affiliated with the London Met Biological Security Research Centre (BSRC) where she is in charge of laying the foundations of the International Biological Security Education Network (IBSEN). The IBSEN is a project founded by the Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust (JRCT) and aims to create a framework for widespread biosecurity education. This education is necessary to raise awareness among life scientists of the risks of scientific research with dual-use implications.
