Janet Gordon is a Senior Lecturer / Technology Enhanced Learning Facilitator working in the Centre for Teaching Enhancement (CTE), where she contributes to the design, delivery and evaluation of professional development for both academic and professional-services staff for enhancing learning and teaching and the student experience through use of technology.
She is a member of the Learning and Teaching in Higher Education PG Cert / MA teaching team and supports colleagues in using technology in their teaching to enhance student learning through workshops, individual advice and involvement in university initiatives. Janet is module leader for Web-based Learning and Teaching, co-teaches on the modules Applying Learning Technologies and Facilitating Student Learning and supervises on the Negotiated Study and Dissertation / Project modules.
After working in the music industry, Janet came to London Met as a mature student, gaining a first-class Multimedia with Spanish and English Studies BA and completing the Learning and Teaching in Higher Education MA with Distinction.
Janet’s academic interests include facilitation of learning and communities of learners, appreciative inquiry, service design and governance.
Janet is a member of the Academic Board and the Technology Enhanced Learning and Teaching (TELT) Group and is Chair of Governors of a diverse comprehensive secondary school in north-west London.
