Maria Alavi is Head of Commercial and Small Business – London for Clydesdale Bank PLC. She has a long career in finance, working mainly in commercial and corporate banking, and she holds an MA in Economics and an MBA (Executive) from London Met. As well as being a London Met alumna, she sits on the Advisory Board for Guildhall School of Business and Law. She is working closely with their MBA programme to enhance the learning experience by introducing the real world of business into the programme. She is also working with the University to establish a Professional Personal Advisor Scheme. In addition, she is a non-executive director of a non-profit organisation.
