Mia Preece is a senior lecturer in sport science and therapy with the School of Human Sciences.

Mia is a senior lecturer in Sports Therapy and holds an MRes Sport and Exercise Medicine (with Distinction), a BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy (1st class) and a PGCE (with Distinction). Mia has been teaching at London Met since 2017 and also has much experience as a sports therapist treating a wide range of patients including non-athletes, recreational athletes and professional athletes.
For six years Mia was involved in junior ice-hockey as team manager, 1st aider and off-ice fitness coach, and has worked with players teaching power-skating technique (Level 1 coach) and with the special needs ice hockey team teaching skating skills.
Mia has a life-long interest in watching and participating in sport and enjoys figure skating (NISA level 6), road and track cycling and skiing, among other sports.
