Before joining academia, Dr. Naser held managerial roles in prominent organizations such as Ford, Granada, Tesco, Command Software Systems, and Corona IT. He notably served as Managing Director at a multinational firm.
As a business consultant, he played a critical role in turning around a financially struggling company, guiding it to profitability through successful ventures and direct sales on both national and international levels. Dr. Naser also demonstrated skill in generating third-stream income by working closely with international recruitment teams. His strategic initiatives, including setting up offices and delegating tasks to student recruitment agencies, have significantly boosted international student enrollment. This effort has enhanced the global reach of academic programs and fostered cultural exchange within the academic community.

Dr M Abu Naser presently serves as an editor and reviewer for multiple academic journals. Additionally, he has delivered keynote addresses at numerous academic conferences.
Dr. M. Abu Naser is currently an Associate Professor at London Metropolitan University and serves as an editor and reviewer for various academic journals. He is also a member of the Harvard Business Review Advisory Board and has been invited to deliver keynote speeches at numerous academic and non-academic conferences.
Dr. Naser has an outstanding research background and employs innovative approaches in teaching and curriculum design. He has taught more than 14,000 students at London Metropolitan University and other leading research-focused universities in the UK. His expertise spans a wide range of subjects, including economics, strategic management, accounting and finance, and management information systems (MIS). Alongside his teaching duties, Dr. Naser plays an active role in supervising the academic progress of both PhD candidates and professional doctoral students.
Dr. Naser is an active participant in the Small Business Clinic, where he engages with small businesses, startups, sole traders, and new enterprises. He also plays a crucial role in the research team at London Met's Centre for Applied Research in Empowering Society and Developing Economics, focusing on solving real-world problems, fostering innovation, and advancing knowledge. Additionally, Dr. Naser is consistently involved in ESJF-related activities. His research interests are interdisciplinary, spanning behavioural finance and developmental economics, with a strong emphasis on corporate social responsibility and accountability.
