Nasim Farahmand

Nasim is a Senior Lecturer in Food Science at the School of Human Sciences.

Nasim has a BSc in Chemical Engineering, an MSc in Food Science and Technology, and a PhD in Food Microbiology. She has worked as a Research Fellow on a couple of post-doctoral research projects in Biotechnology and Fermentation Science. Nasim began her career as a Lecturer at London Metropolitan University in 2023 and was promoted to a Senior Lecturer in 2024. Additionally, she had several years of experience working in the food industry as a Product Manager and Director. Nasim worked on various new product development projects, which led to obtaining a patent in food science.

Nasim has taught and assessed 11 modules during the 2023/24 academic year, and supervised PhD and MSc students' projects.
