Simon Hasan is an internationally recognised designer embracing furniture, product, installation and consultancy, with clients including Chloe, Berluti, Artek, Linley and Virgin Atlantic. He's the course leader for our Furniture and Product Design BA (Hons).
More about Simon Hasan
Simon is a former lead tutor at the prestigious Royal College of Art and has been Designer in Residence at the Design Museum, London.
He now teaches on our Furniture and Product Design BA (Hons) course.
He was featured in the major V&A publication 21 Twenty One: 21 Designers for Twenty-first Century Britain – a celebration of the new generation of British design talent.
Two-time recipient of Wallpaper* Design Awards, Simon’s work is in the permanent collections of the British Crafts Council, Gewerbe Museum (Switzerland) and Fondazione Fendi (Italy).
Simon produces his own-brand range of homewares which are sold in stores around the world.
Simon is passionate about equipping the next generation of designers, makers and doers with the skills needed for the rapidly changing world of work, be it self-employment, employment or postgraduate study.
His personal interests lie in bespoke commissions, leasing design galleries and using traditional crafts techniques in contemporary and sometimes contradictory contexts for luxury brands.
