Subeksha Shrestha, is from Nepal, who is a lecturer in Computing Science and Applied Computing.

She earned her PhD in Computing with a specialization in crime fraud detection, collaborating on the EU SPIRIT Horizon Project. Subeksha holds an MSc in Data Analytics from London Metropolitan University, where she was awarded the Best Postgraduate Academic Performance and University Prize for Academic Excellence. Her academic journey began with a BSc in Computing from Islington College Nepal, affiliated with London Met, where she excelled as the top student of her batch, earning a scholarship to pursue her master's in the UK.

Subeksha has a wealth of experience in research and teaching. Her research interests span artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data analytics, with a particular emphasis on data science applications in areas such as fraud detection, predictive modeling, big data analytics, and developing innovative algorithms for real-world problem-solving. She has been involved in numerous projects, including developing an online Python learning platform for pi-Top. Her contributions extend to teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate students, sharing her expertise in advanced computing concepts.

My teaching activities encompass a diverse range of modules in Computing Science and Applied Computing at London Metropolitan University. I specialize in delivering courses such as Data Analysis and Visualization, Data Mining and Machine Learning, Data Warehouse and Big Data, Programming with Data, Smart Data Discovery, Career Development Learning, Fundamentals of Computing, Programming, and Introduction to Information Systems.

In addition to teaching, I actively engage in academic roles that involve curriculum development, student mentorship, and fostering a stimulating learning environment. My goal is to equip students with the practical skills and theoretical knowledge necessary for success in the rapidly evolving fields of data science and computing.

My research interests centres around data science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning, with a particular focus on their application in fraud detection, predictive analytics, and big data solutions. I am affiliated with AI and Data Science Research Group, where I collaborate with colleagues and industry partners to innovate and advance these fields. Through my research, I aim to develop cutting-edge algorithms and methodologies that address real-world challenges and contribute to the broader academic and professional communities.
