An Artificial Intelligence, MSc student and International Student House scholar talks about his experience at London Met and his plans for the future.
Tell us a little bit about yourself
I was born in Faridabad (Haryana), and I grew up in Ahmedabad, a major city in Gujarat, India. Living there allowed me to experience its rich cultural traditions. From a young age, I’ve been passionate about computing and technology, which sparked my interest and guided my career path.
What brought you to London Met?
I was drawn to London Met by its highly experienced faculty and excellent campus facilities. The well-equipped library and vast resources available for study and research were key factors in my decision. Besides, the curriculum offered a range of interesting and well-structured modules that aligned perfectly with my academic and career goals, further strengthening my choice.
What did studying at London Met mean to you?
Studying at London Met was a transformative experience for me. It provided not only a strong academic foundation but also the opportunity to grow personally and professionally. The diverse environment, supportive faculty, and access to real-world learning helped me gain valuable skills and broaden my global perspective. It was a pivotal step in shaping my future career.
What is your current role?
I’m currently working as a Data Scientist.
What is your biggest passion in life and where did that passion come from?
My biggest passion in life is contributing to the AI revolution, aiming to harness its potential for the betterment of humanity and all living beings on the planet. I’m driven by the vision of creating a future where technology is accessible to everyone, helping bridge gaps and improve lives on a global scale. This passion stems from my deep interest in technology and the belief that innovation can bring about meaningful change for the world.
What drives you?
The desire to make a meaningful impact through my work and skills drives me. I'm motivated by the potential to solve real-world problems, improve lives, and contribute to innovation that benefits society. The continuous learning and challenge of staying ahead in a rapidly evolving field like AI technology also fuel my passion and push me to keep growing.
What’s the proudest moment in your life?
While I have several proud moments in my life, one of the most significant was receiving notification that I was awarded a full scholarship by the London Met University. This recognition not only validated my hard work and dedication but also opened doors for further academic and personal growth.
What are your interests outside of uni and why they are important to you.
Outside of university, I have several hobbies that are important to me. I enjoy playing chess, which helps enhance my cognitive skills, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities. I also love hiking, as it allows me to connect with nature and appreciate the beauty of the outdoors. Furthermore, I actively participate in tech meetups, seminars, and webinars to stay updated on the latest trends and innovations in the field. These activities not only provide me with personal enjoyment but also contribute to my growth as a well-rounded individual.
What’s next in your career?
As I continue to grow in my current role, my goal is to advance into a senior position where I can take on greater leadership responsibilities. I am eager to lead projects that drive innovation and make a meaningful impact. Ultimately, I aspire to become an entrepreneur and launch my own startup, where I can apply my skills and knowledge to create solutions that benefit society as a whole. This journey will allow me to combine my passion for technology with my desire to inspire and empower others.
Do you have any advice for anyone else considering studying at London Met?
I would advise students to attend all lectures and workshops, as they not only deepen understanding of the course modules but also foster critical thinking and practical skills essential for the respective field. It’s also crucial to start preparing for assignments as soon as they are assigned to avoid the stress of last-minute submissions. For those pursuing postgraduate degrees, I highly recommend connecting with the university's career team early in the course. They offer excellent guidance and support throughout the job search process, helping students navigate their career paths effectively.

I’m truly grateful for my decision to study at London Met.
