Architecture students design Scout facilities
Cass Projects was approached by the 15th Fulham Scouts to design new facilities for their campsite in Biggin Hill, Bromley. In response to this, fourth year Architecture Applied Technology in Architecture students ran a ‘demountable structures’ competition, with the winning lightweight timber proposal enthusiastically endorsed by Scout Leaders. Planning permission for this proposal is now underway.
The scout group has now also commissioned a second phase on the site – Meeting Room and Leader facilities. This brief was taken up by the 2017/18 Applied Technology group; has been presented to the Scout Leaders, was successfully endorsed, and is now being detailed and costed.
