Workshop City explores the question of workspaces, large and small, in London.
Workshop City is a Cass Research Seminar which explores the question of workspaces, large and small, in London. Are we heading for a disastrous shortage? What will happen to London's entrepreneurialism and local economies if workspace shortage gets desperate? With presentations from Cass Cities' Mark Brearley (Professor of Urbanism at The Cass and former head of Design for London) and Just Space Economy and Planning (JSEP) Dr Myfanwy Taylor, research fellow at Geography Department. at The University of Leeds, whose expertise is in diverse urban economies, urban politics, collaborative and activist research. The seminar promises to be thought provoking. A call to action to help avoid a second accommodation crisis in London.
This seminar is relevant for many design studios and units at The Cass, PhD students, MArch/MA/MAbP students and staff who practice architecture or design in urban contexts.
All are welcome at Cass Research Seminars, both from inside and outside The Cass. For more information email Jane Clossick at j.clossick@londonmet.ac.uk and follow us on Twitter for the latest information @CassResearch
