Inaugural seminar of Christian Frost
Using some aspects of the relationship between architecture and its cultural and spatial setting Professor Frost will cover moments of his career to date and present some aims for architecture at the Cass. Spanning nearly forty years, this journey began when, as an undergraduate, he was transformed from a student of science to one of historical awareness. From Berlin to Stockton-on-Tees, London to Birmingham, and Salisbury to Florence, his journey as an architect, teacher and researcher continues to be shaped by this belief in the need for the interpretation and understanding of architectural culture and tradition.
The lecture will run 18.30-19.30 with drinks and socialising until 20.00.
