Dr Alya Khan is Senior Lecturer in Health Ethics in the School of Social Sciences and Professions at London Metropolitan University. She teaches political philosophy and applied ethics in health, including bioethics and public health ethics. She is the Education for Social Justice Lead in her School. Her research interests span issues of equity and social justice in health (broadly construed). She has also published on critical pedagogy. She is a member of London Metropolitan University’s Centre for Life Writing and Oral History (CLiOH) and its Global Diversities and Inequalities Research Centre. She sits on the Executive Committee of the UK Society for Women in Philosophy.
