On 7 July, Dr Maria Lopez and Professor Louise Ryan presented the initial findings and preliminary recommendations at a community engagement event at Harrow Arts Centre.
The event, organised by the Afghan Association, and also including members from Paiwand Afghan Association, brought together a range of participants including local Harrow councillor, Ms Peymana Assad, and legal expert Dr Said Khalil Aziz.
Following a detailed presentation of the findings by Maria and Louise, there was a lively Q+A and discussion during which the delegates contributed to the co-production of the report recommendations.
The event ended with a delicious Afghan buffet lunch.
