About this event
Instigated by the Associate Prof. George Fereday: Associate Prof. George Fereday, a series of talks showcase the University’s environmental research to stimulate knowledge exchange and dialogue with public and practice audiences. This timely and important series began during the COP26 climate-change summit and continues its vital role of raising awareness of the environmental agenda into the new year.
Each talk is hosted by a different London Met research centre, showing the breadth of research in this field: comprising the university-wide Prof. Nick Temple group, and the School of Art, Architecture and Design’s Siân Moxon (CUBE) and Associate Prof. George Fereday (Creature).
Each talk is introduced by London Met Lab’s environment challenge lead, Siân Moxon and feature several short, engaging presentations by academic staff from these research centres, followed by a panel discussion and audience questions, chaired by senior research staff.
Topics explore the climate and ecological emergency, with a particular focus on creating sustainable communities and the value of nature to society.
