Studio VisCom 03

Studio brief 

Studio 3 will explore the hybridity within design via the exploration of toolkits, hacks, formal and informal approaches to visual communication. The studio is designed to be different whilst maintaining a sensibility to the practice of past, current and future visual communication theories and practices.

Our first project Identity Algorithm will explore the theme of identity via creative writing, elaborate illustration, creative scanning, fashion and make-up design, analog and digital image-making, digital toolkits and hacks and traditional two dimensional and three dimensional craft via a series of personal, unique and well defended series of print, digital and hybrid outcomes. Our project references will include but not be exclusive to practitioners such as Jessica Walsh, Haris Nukem, Tim Walker, Joe Cruz, Ian Wright, Cindy Sherman and Nick Knight.

You will also be introduced to industry practitioners Hashmuk Kerai a Motion Graphic Designer and 3D Illustrator, Joe Cruz Artist and Illustrator and Meena Bhella a Make-up Artist and Designer who will treat you to master-classes exploring their practice and perspective on the theme of Identity.

Our second project Collaborate will be an experimental, experiential and collaborative project with studio partners Output Group, founders of the award winning companies Studio Output, A forward-thinking brand agency covering strategy, branding, design and digital and Found, A creative studio specialising in well-conceived, beautifully-executed motion work.
