Hackney Youth Orchestras Trust Charities and Social Enterprise Clinic

London Met has supported the music charity Hackney Youth Orchestras Trust for more than a decade. Our staff have filled trustees positions including as treasurer, chair and secretary. In these roles we’ve also been involved in giving advice about initiatives linked to organisational development. This has included conducting reviews of plans to scale up operations and design of outreach strategies aimed at improving the organisation’s reach into the most deprived communities. We’ve worked on staffing restructures, conducted complex financial modelling for a review of the charity's business model, supported development of new fundraising strategies – and been crucially involved in boosting the organisation’s viability and sustainability during the period of the pandemic.
