Laser cutting
The large format 100 watt laser cutter has an effective cutting area of 1200mm x 2400mm and can cut a thickness of up to 15mm. The size of the machine means that multiple smaller parts can be cut from a large sheet of material, reducing set-up time and material preparation costs. Suitable materials include textiles, timber, board products, paper and most plastics (excluding PVC).
Capacities and materials:
The Universal laser cutter has a bed size of 600 x 450mm. It is good for cutting all cards, papers, fabrics, and for acrylic up to 5mm thick.
The Trotec laser cutter has a cutting area of 1200 x 700mm.
The Bed Size is 1420 x 820 mm. It is good for cutting all cards, papers, fabrics, and for acrylic up to 6mm thick.
Other possible materials:
Foam – must be polyethylene. Polystyrene and foam board are not possible. Leather, rubber, felt.
Both machines will hold much thicker pieces if is just scoring or raster engraving that is required.
