London Met has great places to socialise, eat and study, and we work hard to make sure you have everything you need for your time on campus.
The Rocket
Looking for the perfect spot to relax, connect, and get things done? Look no further than The Rocket on Holloway Road! Our community hub is designed with you in mind, offering free Wi-Fi, pool tables, and a variety of board games to keep the good times rolling.
Craving a break? Grab a freshly brewed coffee, a warm pastry, or a tasty snack—available all day to keep you fuelled and focused. The Rocket is open late, until 8 PM from Tuesday to Thursday, giving you a welcoming space to unwind, chat with friends, or just soak in the atmosphere.
Need a place for group projects or study sessions? Our space is perfect for collaboration and inspiration. Whatever brings you to The Rocket, you’ll find it’s a place that feels like home.
Clubs and societies
You’re encouraged to take part in the clubs and societies hosted by our Students' Union (SU), which runs its own brilliant Verve magazine and Verve radio station, written and hosted by students.
The SU has a large number of sports clubs and societies, and welcomes requests to start a new club that is not yet running. They will support you in this process as much as possible. With such diverse clubs and societies, you’ll find all of your interests catered to.
Study areas
You can study in comfort at London Met with access to a wide range of spaces for studying. You’ll find cosy sofas nestled off corridors, and in the Holloway Road Graduate Centre. At Aldgate we have refurbished a number of spaces to provide even more comfortable places to socialise with your friends. The libraries, not just centres of knowledge and learning resources, are kitted out with seating and group work areas.
You can also study in our Legal Practice Course (LPC) room with its own special IT facilities for you to use. To enter the room you must be enrolled on the LPC programme and have a London Met ID card.
Cafés and eateries: Fuel Up at Every Corner
Hungry for a bite between classes? Our campuses have fantastic spots to satisfy every craving and keep you energised from morning through evening. With two main dining hubs at Holloway and a vibrant outlet at Aldgate, you’ll always find something delicious nearby.
Holloway Campus
Whether it’s a morning coffee, a quick snack, or a satisfying lunch, you’ve got options! Drop by The Rocket or Highbury Corner (tucked inside the Highbury Canteen) for your caffeine fix or a sweet or savoury treat—from fresh pastries to sizzling pizzas. For a more filling meal, head straight to the Highbury Canteen, where you'll find a variety of hot, hearty dishes served up with great flavour and value.
Aldgate Campus
At Aldgate, our Atrium offers artisanal selections and refreshments in a relaxed, creative space—perfect for refuelling between projects or meeting up with friends.
Across campuses, each outlet brings its own unique flair to the table, from deli-style bites at The Junction and Highbury Canteen at Holloway to the fresh, flavorful offerings at Aldgate’s Atrium. With something for every taste, these spots are here to make your campus experience deliciously enjoyable.
"Setting up the Futsal team and playing the first game ever at the University is probably the highlight of my time at London Met so far."
Isaac, founder of the London Met Futsal team
"When I first came to London Met I really wanted to play rugby but unfortunately there was no women’s team so I started searching for a team outside the Uni… I then spoke to the SU’s Sport and Activities Development Coordinator, Danny, and he suggested I start a team. He helped me get started. Now we have an active team and compete against other universities.”
