'Safeguarding Across the Life Course' symposium series

With a growing awareness of the complexities surrounding the safeguarding of the vulnerable, focus has increasingly fallen on the need to empower those most at risk as well as ensure the prevention of harm. Join our summer symposium series hosted by our Safeguarding and Security MA team to explore these issues in the company of academics and practitioners.

Each session focuses on safeguarding practice across different life stages and settings, from protecting children from neglect to safeguarding adults in later life from abuses such as online fraud.  We have a full agenda of presentations and guest speakers from across a range of different sectors, including NGOs and academia, who will address topics reflecting their expertise and experience.  The presentations will be followed by lively discussions amongst academics, practitioners and participants.

Safeguarding is now a central concern across public and private sectors and the symposium will be of particular interest to anyone working in social care settings, education, and those working more generally with vulnerable adults and children.

The full agenda list of speakers is coming soon. Stay up-to-date by registering for the events listed below.
